“Automation of energy action generation in accordance with the ISO 50001 standard”

Enerit attended SEAI event “Creating the right environment for ISO 50001 to thrive” which took place on May 4th 2012 at Mansion house in Dublin. The event offered delegates valuable ways to maximize the many benefits of EnMS and to influence the successful uptake of the new standard. As part of the event there was a posters exhibition which focused on practical applications of the ISO 50001 standard.

Enerit’s Ciara Donnelly submitted a poster entitled “Automation of energy action generation in accordance with the ISO 50001 standard” which focuses on the application of Enerit ISO 50001 software within the EU funded CASCADE project. This project focuses on energy efficiency within airports and Enerit ISO 50001 software is currently being deployed at Rome and Milan airports.

The European research project more specifically is developing a solution that will leverage on Enerit’s software in order to develop a facility-specific measurement-based energy action plan for airport energy managers underpinned by systematic Fault Detection Diagnosis (FDD methods).

CASCADE will provide energy managers with an energy action system with clear performance indicators (kWh, CO2, Euros) that identify specific actions with actors to reduce energy consumption that links directly to ISO standards.

....help to ensure excellent energy management practice throughout an organization. The software brings transparency, for example, senior managers can view their company's energy management system by securely logging into the software.
