ESOS in Irish Processing (Energy Audit Scheme – Is ISO 50001 path right for you?)

Enerit presented at the Sustainable Processing Conference in Dublin September 9th & 10th 2015.  The presentation discussed the implementation of Article 8 (Energy Audits) of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive. Article 8 is implemented in the UK through the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and through the Energy Audit Scheme (EAS) in the Republic of Ireland. Both schemes allow for ISO 50001 to be used as an automatic route for compliance. Based on the size of companies that must comply with the schemes, is it not logical for companies to certify to ISO 50001? Click here to view presentation.

Sustainable Processing Ireland Event brought together a collection of technology and service companies who have a hand in influencing the Irish manufacturing sectors by introducing cutting edge products for Food, Pharmaceutical, ICT & MedTech processing. Over 100 companies provided manufacturers with an environment to openly discuss the challenges & benefits of implementing the latest energy efficiency systems, waste management, water treatment and control of CO2 emissions.

The software leads to the automation and implementation of the ISO 50001 standard, and goes beyond completing the standard to allow users to save energy on an on-going basis.
