Enerit COO Mike Brogan will be presenting at the ‘Smart Solutions for Green Buildings‘ forum in Paris at the start of July. The event is being hosted by Enterprise Ireland in partnership with CleanTuesday as part of a Trade Mission to France.
The main objective of the forum is to give an insight into the Green Building Sector that exists in France along with introducing growing indigenous Irish companies operating in this sector. Special focus will be given to leading Energy Efficient project Fort D’Issy and the “Issy Grid” along with highlighting how some of Ireland’s leading building related companies are developing innovative products to meet European Union’s 2020 energy efficiency targets.
The Irish Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, is to open the event by making a short speech about the emphasis that Ireland is placing on the energy efficiency targets and the launch of the Irish Energy Research Centre I2E2 and IBM Smart City Labs in Dublin.
Deputy Andry Santini, MP & Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux will present the vision behind the Fort d’Issy and Issy Grid. Irish companies; Ecocem, Kingspan, Climote and of course Enerit, as companies that are heavily involved in Green Building solutions will then showcase their technology to the French Market.
A highlight of the event will be the round table discussion that will take place towards the end of the afternoon. The aim of the roundtable is to act as a platform for Irish and French institutions to exchange views on the future of energy efficiency in the construction sector as well as on-going research and innovation. The Plan Batiment Grenelle, France GBC and the Irish Green Building Council, the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and Bouygues Immobilier are all to take part in what is sure to be a lively debate.
